Bryce Barrand

 

I'm a project manager at Rain Interactive (mediarain.com) where I am also a senior Flex developer. I've managed many enterprise level, large-scale projects (1000+ man hours) for recognizable companies such as HP, Myfamily.com, and Alfred publishing. I have an MBA from Neumont University. I enjoy taking an active part in the Flex community by contributing to open source projects, and have attended numerous conferences such as MAX and 360.



Craig Berntson

Craig Berntson has been a Microsoft MVP since 1996 and has spoken at developer events across the US and in Canada, Germany, and the Czech Republic. He has written for various magazines and is currently co-authoring a new .NET book. Craig is an independent developer in Salt Lake City. Gordon Clarke

Gordon Clarke is managing the Developer Services and API Marketing for FamilySearch. Previously, Gordon was the founder and president of ici MEDIA. Over the last 25 years, Gordon has organized and lead numerous companies and projects, creating and delivering internet, desktop computer, audio/video, and enterprise solutions for many different industries.



Dr. Alistair Cockburn

Dr. Alistair Cockburn was the Focal Point for Object Technology in the IBM Consulting Group in the early 1990s. He helped write the Agile Manifesto in 2001, was voted one of the "The All-Time Top 150 i-Technology Heroes" in 2007 for his pioneering work in use cases and agile software development. He is an internationally renowned expert on agile development, use cases, process design, project management, and object-oriented design. He is the author of the Crystal agile methodologies, three Jolt-awarded books on software development, the project management Declaration of Interdependence, inventor of Initial Response Technique massage, and is also a Certified Scrum Trainer. Mike Erickson

 

Mike Erickson has been professionally involved in technology for the past 19 years. He has worked on many platforms and with many programming languages. He has focused mostly on Microsoft tools and technologies for the past 12 years and holds several Microsoft certifications. He has worked as a consultant, architect and trainer for the past 10 years. He has worked in various industries and for clients throughout the United States.



Mick Knutson

 

Mr. Knutson is a professional internet technology consultant, Java Architect, Java project leader, Engineer, Designer and Developer and has been working in the IT industry for over 15 years. Mr. Knutson has a vast array of experience working on J2EE, Web Services and E-Business services. Phil Gilmore

Phil Gilmore is a software developer with over a decade of experience in programming with diverse technologies including Microsoft.NET, Delphi, Visual Basic, and Assembly language for various platforms and operating systems. He is involved in the administration of several local users groups and is a frequent speaker for users groups and Code Camp.

Scott Golightly

 

Scott Golightly is currently an Enterprise Solution Strategist with Advaiya, Inc. Scott is also a Microsoft Regional Director. He has over 15 years experience helping clients to create solutions to business problems with various technologies. Scott is an experienced speaker and trainer. He has taught classes around the globe on various technical and business related topics. Scott has presented at numerous code camps, Tech Ed break out sessions, and Tech Ready. Scott has held many certifications including Certified PowerBuilder Developer, Certified Sybase Instructor, MCP, MCSD, and MCT. When he is not working with computers Scott enjoys being with his family and being in the outdoors.



Glen Lewis

Glen had educational software on the market and was teaching BASIC programming 8-hours a day when he was 16. Since then he's delivered more than 40 products and worked with more than 300 customers. His speaking engagements have included Microsoft Management Conference, Envision and Tech-Ed. His software skill sets include architecture, project management, business analysis, technical writing, test design and implementation and of course, development (his favorite). Glen co-founded the Utah Java User Group in 1999 and co-founded the Utah Mobile Development Group in 2008. Having successfully written and delivered courses in C++, Java, J2EE, UML and OO, Glen now has his sights on the mobile world, specifically Android



Joe Mayo

Joe Mayo is an author of multiple books, including C# 3.0 Unleashed/Sams and LINQ Programming/McGraw-Hill. He operates Mayo Software, where he writes custom software for customers using Microsoft .NET technology. Joe is also a Microsoft Visual C# MVP.

Milan Negovan

 

Milan has been working with ASP.NET since early betas. For the past four years, he has been running AspNetResources.com promoting web standards and usability in the Microsoft community. He speaks frequently at user groups and Code Camps. Milan has been a Microsoft ASP.NET MVP for several years.



Mark Miller

 

Mark Miller is a Senior Software Engineer at STG Utah with 9 years of experience and has been using C# since v1.0. He is an active blogger at http://www.developmentalmadness.com/ and a former instructor for New Horizons. He has developed LOB applications, large-scale web sites handling millions of requests per day and everything in-between. Most recently Mark has been working on applications using ASP.NET MVC and Silverlight/WPF. He enjoys Rock Band and competing in sports which increasingly remind him he spends too much time behind a desk.



Stephen Schaff

 

My name is Stephen Schaff. I have worked at ARUP Laboratories for 5 years doing software development. For the last year I have been working using .NET 3.5, Visual Studio Team System 2008 and Team Foundation System 2008. Currently I am working with Windows Mobile 5, Compact Framework 3.5 and WCF. I love to find, develop and use tools for software development. I spend my spare (non-Software Development Time) with my family, playing RuneScape and tinkering on random software and hardware projects.



Aaron Skonnard

Aaron Skonnard is co-founder of Pluralsight, a premier Microsoft .NET training provider. Aaron has authored numerous Pluralsight courses in the areas of Azure (cloud computing), WCF, Web services, XML and BizTalk Server. Over the years, Aaron has written numerous articles, whitepapers, and books and he's a contributing editor with MSDN Magazine where he authored The XML Files and Service Station columns for years. Aaron frequently speaks at industry events including TechEd, PDC, and VSLive!

Ken Snyder is a PHP developer for SolutionStream. He has been web programming for 7 years and has contributed to the Prototype, Scriptaculous and FuseJS JavaScript libraries.



Richard Thomson

Richard Thomson has been a Microsoft MVP since January, 2002, with a focus on DirectX/XNA and computer graphics. He was also the first MVP for Windows Installer, Microsoft's packaging and installation technology. Richard has been working as a software engineer since the age of 14, accumulating 30 years of experience along the way. He has worked in 3D computer graphics since 1988 and is the curator of a museum on computer graphics history in Salt Lake City. Pat Wright

Pat has been a SQL Server DBA for the past 8 years.  He's managed Large Scale deployments of SQL Server and small scale deployments.  He is very active in his community and manages the SLC IT Pro users group(http://www.slcitpro.com/).  He also organizes the Utah Code Camp(http://www.utcodecamp.com/) and blogs every once in a while at http://www.sqlasylum.com/.



David Yack

David Yack is the CTO of Colorado Technology Consultants, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner based in Colorado. He is a Microsoft Regional Director and a Microsoft MVP for Silverlight. As a senior hands’ on technology and business consultant with over 20 years of industry experience, David enjoys developing applications on the Microsoft platforms, specializing in large system architecture and design. David embraced Silverlight early on when it used to be called WPF/E. As part of a group of Silverlight insiders David regularly provides product feedback to the Microsoft Silverlight development team. David has been helping clients migrate and build new applications on the Silverlight, as well as helping to mentor and train their staffs. David is a member of the INETA Speaker Bureau and is a frequent speaker at user group and industry events. Nathan Zaugg

Nathan Zaugg is a consultant for SolutionStream and leads and designs projects utilizing Microsoft technologies. He has led projects for prestigious clients including Bonneville Communications, Warner Music, and the LDS Church. He has been working with the .NET platform since version 1.0 and has been consulting for the past 5 years. He obtained his BS in Computer Science at Weber State University and is a Microsoft Certified Applications Developer (MCAD.NET) and is currently working toward his Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD) certification. Nate also actively presents for Utah Code Camp and the local users group (NUNUG) on the latest Microsoft Technologies.

Aaron Zupanicic

Aaron is a Senior Software Architect with Experlogix specializing in .NET technologies and a Microsoft MVP going on 5 years. Over the past 15 years in the software development industry, he has been a consultant in the Microsoft Rocky Mountain District, a software architect/engineer, as well as an acclaimed trainer and instructor on several Microsoft technologies.
