Code Camp is a one day free training for all developers of any technologies to attend and learn from their peers and local speakers. We are currently looking for Speakers to present at the Code Camp. All topics are open for discussion and all formats. The sessions would be 45 Minutes long with a 10-15 minute QA time at the end of the session (total 1 hour). This will be an all day event we plan to go from 9:00-5:00. You don't need to be present the whole day but we would love to have you around for questions from users or to see the other great content of the code camp.

We are looking for 100-150 people to attend the code camp. We will have several tracks running all throughout the day (multiple sessions going on at once).

You must bring your own Laptop for your presentation. There will be a room on site for speaker prep during the day of the Code Camp.

Any code samples you show should be made available for download from Code Camp web site. (http://www.utcodecamp.com/)

We are not covering travel or expenses for speakers, but you will receive a great big THANK YOU. A Cool Polo Shirt also!

Code Camps are grassroots technical conferences run by local developers for local developers. The Utah Code Camp is an opportunity to bring together local developers to learn from each other. It's all about community participation, so if you have something to share, sign up to be a presenter. If you've never presented before, a Code Camp is a great place to start. We loosely follow the Code Camp Manifesto that you can read here(http://blogs.msdn.com/trobbins/archive/2004/12/12/280181.aspx).

By and for the Developer Community

Code Camps are about the community at large. They are meant to be a place for all members of the community to come and learn from their peers. Topics are always based on community interest and never determined by anyone other than the community.

Always Free

Code Camps are always free for attendees.

Community Developed Material

All presentations and content should be freely shared among the attendees.  You should be able to  have your presentation or ideas put into an open forum and discussed.

No Fluff only Code

We loosely follow this rule.  We like to encourage presentation with only code but we also understand many out there have a good amount of knowledge to give that isn't only based on the code being written.  We like to encourage new presenters to come to the code camp and get there first experience in presenting.

Community Ownership

The most important element is the Community.  All of the technology community is welcome to come and attend or speak.

Never during working hours

The code camp will not be held during normal business hours.

Technology Independent

The code camp will not limit itself to any one technology.  All technologies are welcome and valued at the code camp.  The main goal of the code camp is to help people learn to solve problems.  It doesn't matter what technology you are using if you have a problem let's work to solve it.
